This webinar is a unique opportunity to hear from Richard Walker, Managing Director of Iceland Foods about his experience of leading a responsible business. Richard is The Prince’s Responsible Business Ambassador for Wales and author of ‘The Green Grocer’.

About the webinar
Our planet is facing an unprecedented climate crisis, along with a host of challenges from increasing inequality to COVID-19. In this webinar, Richard Walker, Managing Director of Flintshire-based Iceland Foods and author of ‘The Green Grocer’, shares his belief that businesses of all sizes – from large corporations, to kitchen-table start-ups and sole traders – have an important role to play in making the world a better place. He will share the lessons he has learned in the boardroom of a £4bn family business that is the UK’s best known frozen food retailer. He will also cover his efforts to make a difference on global issues like deforestation and plastic pollution to the everyday approach to business that can have lasting benefits for customers, colleagues and communities.

  • The critical need for businesses to act on climate and social equality.
  • The reality – the challenges and opportunities that come from trying to run a sustainable business.
  • The potential for corporate activism.
  • Lessons learned along the way.
  • Opportunity for questions.
