This is an in person event.
Audience
C-Suite – attendance by invitation only.
Background
The King’s Seeing is Believing programme of visits is one of the most well-established and widely respected experiential leadership programmes in the UK.
Over the past thirty years, its profound influence and extensive reach has engaged more than 25,000 leaders. It is a unique immersive experience which provides senior leadership from businesses of all shapes and sizes with opportunities to view their business from the ‘outside in’. It also allows them to meet and better understand those who are really struggling in life and to consider actions that can be taken to address some of the key issues facing our communities today – and in turn transform millions of lives.
About the event
The visit will focus on the issue of food insecurity and the impact it has on individuals and their life chances. According to the Department for Work and Pensions’ (DWP) Households Below Average Income survey, there were 4.7 million people, or 7% of the UK population, in food poverty, including 12% of children. Stigma attached to poverty increases social isolation, piling pressure on people’s mental health. It negatively impacts performance in education and at work, as well as creating barriers for engaging diverse talent.
