It is aimed at responsible-business practitioners, human resources managers and sustainability and environmental professionals.
Background
Mobilising employee action is a key driver to meeting net zero goals. Behavioural and culture change is needed to rapidly meet carbon reduction goals. Employee engagement is essential to accelerate this.
Good engagement can create opportunities for employees to connect with the ambitions of the organisation. It can also create the environment where employees are motivated and higher levels of engagement correlates with higher levels of innovation.
Bringing employees along on the net zero carbon journey is vital to meeting ambitions. Employees will play a role in helping to shape a net zero carbon strategy and support with progressing against immediate and long-term goals.
As part of BITC’s flagship Challenge 2030 campaign, a key pillar is to increase the scope of influence by collaborating with employees and stakeholders to move towards a low-carbon economy.
BITC’s environment and sustainability agenda encourages innovative and transformational change at the core of business. Our programmes focus on building a one-planet economy that delivers lasting prosperity through the UN Global Goals, also known as the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
