Webinar: Net Zero Carbon
AudienceRisk management practitioners and Environment practitioners
Tue, 03 December 2019 @ 13:00 – 14:00
This webinar will allow those attending to deepen their understanding of the climate change risks to organisations, and how to develop a climate crisis plan.
Evidence of climate breakdown has grown, with extreme weather events across the world causing death and destruction. The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) has issued a stark warning to cut greenhouse gas emissions to net zero, by 2050 at the latest, and ideally before 2030.
While the task ahead is challenging, it is also hugely exciting. Make sure your organisation is part of the solution to the climate emergency.
About the event
Those attending will hear from Gudrun Cartwright, Environment Director at Business in the Community (BITC). She will be joined by leading business experts to share knowledge on how to:
- set carbon reduction targets and highlight how they help organisations to make a contribution to avert the climate crisis
- provide insight into best practice from leading organisations, removing carbon from their business.
Who should attend?
This event would suit environment practitioners. It is free to attend for members and non-members of BITC.
