Business in the Community is welcoming a host of speakers on the topic of investing pensions responsibly to build a better world, chaired by our Chief Executive Amanda Mackenzie.

Speakers confirmed include Richard Curtis, who alongside his film writing and directing career, is involved across several sustainability and charitable projects, is a UN advocate of the Global Goals, while leading on the campaign Make My Money Matter, a movement calling for the trillions of pounds invested in our UK pensions to build a better world.

Richard is joined by Tony Burdon, Chief Executive Officer at Make my Money Matter, and Lauren Peacock, Campaign Manager at ShareAction, which campaigns for the global investment system to take responsibility for its impacts on people and planet, and use its power to create a green, fair, healthy society.

Background
We inspire, engage and challenge businesses to be purpose-driven, taking practical action, and to mobilise their collective strength to deliver against the Global Goals. We are focused on how companies can bring about structural and lasting social, environmental and economic changes through running their businesses responsibly.

This event is part of BITC’s response to the global call to build back better – get involved in our campaign to radically change the expectations and impact of responsible business.
