Join this webinar to learn more about the Government’s Town Deal programme and cross-sector partnerships.

When the Government published the Towns Fund Prospectus in November 2019, it outlined the difficulties facing many UK towns. These include issues such as ageing populations, a lack of economic opportunity, limited investment, poor transport and digital connectivity, retail decline, the closure of leisure facilities, and low levels of social mobility.  Now, as the unprecedented impact of a global pandemic weighs disproportionately on these areas, the Government’s Towns Fund investment and Town Deal programme presents an increasingly critical opportunity to aid long-term recovery and prosperity.

About the webinar
This webinar will allow attendees to:

  • uncover more about the Town Deal Programme and hear from some of the first wave towns who benefitted
  • examine how to work effectively across sectors, reviewing best practice in partnership working
  • explore how to unlock the full collaborative potential of business through the Town Deal programme.

This webinar is open and free of charge to both Business in the Community (BITC) members and non-members. It would be particular suitable for Local Authority leaders.

BITC has worked with business leaders and communities over the last three decades on a wide range of place-based activity. This includes retail-led regeneration and collaboration of the Prince’s Charities in Burnley, as well as our Business Connector and Healthy High Streets programmes. We are well-placed to help councils maximise the Government’s Town Deal opportunity by bringing the most appropriate local business leaders around the table.

This BITC Factsheet will help you understand more about the Town Deal.
