Fri, 16 October 2020  @  11:00  –  12:00

As businesses and communities move towards recovery, join Business in the Community’s (BITC) South East Leadership Board as they discuss turning waste into wealth.

This webinar is a chance to hear from businesses about their commitment to supporting communities by driving more value from underused assets. With a focus on office resources (IT, furniture, skilled volunteers), we will hear how businesses are taking steps to create a more circular economy in their journey to build back responsibly from COVID-19.

This Turning Waste into Wealth to Support Emergency Needs event is open to BITC members with a limited number of spaces for non members.

It is intended for businesses and community organisations new to the National Business Response Network (NBRN) and those already involved. It will also appeal to sustainability/environment and responsible-business professionals at senior manager level.

BITC established the NBRN to connect business support to urgent community need in the COVID-19 crisis. In the past three months, the NBRN has supported more than 2,000 requests for emergency needs, including food, technology and professional support.

BITC’s environment and sustainability agenda encourages innovative and transformational change at the core of business. Our programmes focus on building a one-planet economy that delivers lasting prosperity through the UN Global Goals, also known as the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
