BITC Business Response Forum – a regular weekly catch-up webinar for all our members, to share ideas and challenges and to update you on what is happening at Business in the Community (BITC) and across the Responsible Business Network.

As the challenges facing us from COVID-19 become increasingly clear, there has never been a more important time for BITC to bring our members together. We want to offer our support in the most effective way we can and understand what support for our members is needed.

Themes for the webinars will include supporting communities, supporting the health and wellbeing of staff and supporting small business. We want to hear about other topics that would be beneficial to explore.

The webinars will run twice a week for 45 minutes. Starting on Monday 20 April and then every Monday and Wednesday at 16:00.

Previous events

  • Monday 20 April: Andy Brown, Head of Sustainability at Anglian Water. Paul Buchanan, Delivery and Impact Director on BITC’s recently launched National Business Response Network (NBRN).
  • Wednesday 22 April: Fiacre O’Donnell, Strategic Development Director at Encirc, on production line safety and wellbeing during the COVID-19 pandemic. We will also hear from Louise Aston, Wellbeing Director at BITC.
  • Monday 27 April: Ian Duffy, Head of UK communications and community development, BP, on how BP shaped its response to Covid-19 in the UK and internationally, focusing on the values and principles used to guide decision-making and the governance processes used to maximise impact and minimise risk. Plus Rachael Saunders, BITC Education Director, on the educational challenges of remote teaching, technology and careers.
  • Wednesday 29 April: Peter Westall, Chief Values Officer, Co-op Midcounties, on how they are supporting their communities during COVID-19.

Audience
This event is free and open to BITC members. It is aimed at responsible business practitioners and leaders.
