Workshop: Global Goals: How Ready is Your Business to Respond to Disaster?

Supported by UPS and PwC, this event highlights the link between resilience and preparedness in meeting the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) or Global Goals.
We do not know where and when, but we do know disasters will strike. Businesses have a role to play, not only in preparing themselves and their supply chains for these disasters, but also supporting the response afterwards. By sharing best practice and providing a space for businesses to convene, Business in the Community (BITC) hopes to inspire and support strategic planning and encourage meaningful collaborations to build a more sustainable future through contributing to meeting the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) or Global Goals.
There will be panel discussions and roundtable conversations on international disaster relief and resilience, followed by networking drinks. Those attending will hear about different approaches and examples from GSK, UPS, PwC and others.
Light refreshments will be served during the event and networking drinks will follow.
This event is free to attend and open to members and non-members of BITC.
It is designed to benefit business representatives at all levels from various sectors including investors/insurance, financial services, utility companies, real estate, construction, academia, pharmaceuticals and professional services.
