DESCRIPTION:Join other Opening Doors signatories to share challenges\, learnings\, experience and best practice on opening doors to diverse talent.\n\n\nThis is an online event. \nAudience\nOpen to both members and non-members of Business in the Community (BITC). This event would be of interest to employers seeking to understand how their apprenticeships can contribute to their inclusive recruitment strategy. \n\n\nBackground\nBusinesses in BITC places consistently identify skill shortages as a primary hiring challenge. A 2021 government report showed that nearly half of UK businesses (48%) were recruiting for roles requiring hard data skills with a similar number (46%) struggling to recruit for these roles over the 2 previous years. \nApprenticeships play a key role in preparing people for the roles a business needs.
