SUMMARY:CEO Networking Breakfast
DESCRIPTION:Join Mary Macleod\, Chief Executive of Business in the Community (BITC)\, at our informal networking breakfasts.   \n\n\n\nAudience \n\n\n\nOpen exclusively to CEOs. Previous attendees have included CEOs from companies such as; Capgemini\, Centrica\, Heathrow Airport\, Linklaters\, Siemens and many more.   \n\n\n\nBackground \n\n\n\nSenior leaders have shown us how much value they get out of coming together in small\, focused groups to share their experiences and ideas. To that end\, we offer a monthly networking breakfast to bring our network together.   \n\n\n\nAbout the event \n\n\n\nEach month\, we gather CEOs together for confidential\, informal discussions over breakfast to share thoughts on current issues\, challenges and what is on the horizon.  \n\n\n\nBITC are keen to understand how we can work more closely with you and use these meetings to hear from you. There is no formal agenda for these meetings; we want to listen to what’s on your mind and the challenges business is facing and understand how BITC can support you.  \n\n\n\nIn the past\, we have addressed issues such as how we can improve internships\, steps to take to build an inclusive recruitment policy and the role technology can play in connecting business and communities.  \n\n\n\nAbout Business in the Community \n\n\n\nBusiness in the Community is the largest and longest-established movement dedicated to responsible business in the UK\, formed in 1982 and with HM The King as our Royal Founding Patron. We convene the network of purposeful leaders committed to changing business\, transforming lives and helping the planet and communities thrive.  \n\n\n\nBooking\, contact details and further information \n\n\n\n\nContact Fiona Macleod\, Head of Events\, for any further questions. \n\n\n\nFull joining instructions will be sent before the event.

SUMMARY:Opening Doors Forum: Anonymised Recruitment
DESCRIPTION:Join peers to share your challenges\, learnings\, experiences and best practice on inclusive recruitment.\n\n\nAudience\nOpen only to Business in the Community (BITC) members who are Opening Doors signatories. \n\n\nBackground\nCreating meaningful employment is one of the most significant ways that businesses can contribute to the livelihoods of individuals and communities\, and is\, for many the only sustainable route out of poverty. \nOffering quality work experience\, adopting inclusive approaches to recruitment\, and breaking down barriers to entering work for people from disadvantaged groups can benefit businesses by helping them tackle skills shortages\, build new talent pipelines\, boost retention rates\, and achieve higher productivity. \nBusiness in the Community is calling on employers to commit to making job roles more accessible to diverse talent by committing to take action through our Opening Doors inclusive recruitment campaign.  \n\n\nAbout the online forum\nOpening Doors is BITC’s inclusive recruitment campaign\, which aims to make 2 million jobs more accessible by 2025. Signatories of the campaign are invited to join bi-annual forums\, which allow peer discussion on topical recruitment issues. \nWe are receiving a growing number of queries from employers on anonymised recruitment: to what extent does it make jobs more accessible to diverse talent\, how can it be implemented effectively\, and what are the potential pitfalls? \nAt this forum\, attendees will; \n\nDiscover how employers are using anonymised recruitment practices at different stages of the recruitment process.\nHear from BITC Inclusion Advisers about how anonymised recruitment can be used effectively.\nShare experiences of anonymised recruitment with Opening Doors employers.\n\nDiscuss frequently asked questions\, including: \n\nApplication/assessment/offer – is anonymised recruitment more effective in some parts of the recruitment process than others?\nWhat are the benefits of anonymised recruitment and how can you ensure it works well?\nWhat are some challenges associated with anonymised recruitment and how can risk be mitigated?\nHow else can bias be reduced in the recruitment process?\n\nDelegates will have the opportunity to reflect together on commitments and the progress made so far. \n\n\nBooking\, contact details and further information\n\nContact Florence Hughes\, Events Manager at BITC\, for any further questions.\nFull joining instructions will be sent before the event.\n\nFind out how your organisation can become a member of Business in the Community
