DESCRIPTION:Business in the Community Cymru is delighted to invite you to connect with communities and local businesses.\n\n\nThis is an in person event. \nAudience\nThis event is designed to support both members and non-members of Business in the Community (BITC)\, including businesses\, charities\, and community organisations with operations in Newport and surrounding areas. \n\n\nBackground\nBusiness in the Community and its members in Wales are acutely aware of the challenges faced by many communities in Newport struggling to cope with the impacts of the cost-of-living crisis and persistent inflation. As such\, at this event key discussion topics will include business volunteering\, community collaboration and inclusive recruitment. \n\n\nAbout the event\nYou will hear about BITC’s Newport Place Programme\, funded by Newport City Council Shared Prosperity Funding\, KLA Foundation and USW. \nThe programme is a partnership of businesses\, community organisations and Newport Council and aims to enhance the great work already happening in communities\, whilst focussing on new ideas and innovation that will mobilise people\, ideas and passion in Newport. \nThe session will celebrate existing positive connections between local businesses and the communities they serve\, whilst also providing space for more potential partnerships to flourish across Newport and beyond. \n\n\nRefreshments\nTea\, coffee and sandwiches will be provided. \n\n\nBooking\, contact details and further information\n\nContact Tracy Rees\, Senior Lead and Interim Director Wales for any further questions.\nFull joining instructions will be sent before the event.\n\nFind out how your organisation can become a member of Business in the Community
