DESCRIPTION:Join the conversation on measuring the impact business has on nature\, choose the right approach\, and collaborate for a greener future.\n \nThis is a virtual event.\n\n\nAudience\nThis Peer Learning Forum (PLF) is open to all proposition A members of Business in the Community (BITC). \nBackground\nMost businesses are now switched on to the impact of global emissions and are making plans to measure\, report and reduce them. However\, the climate crisis is occurring alongside an ecological crisis as nature and key ecosystems are destroyed by: \n· Pollution \n· Resource exploitation \n· Agriculture \n· Deforestation \nWhilst there are relatively sophisticated\, standardised and internationally accepted methods for collecting emissions data\, the same is not true of nature with multiple frameworks\, standards\, and methodologies available for businesses to choose from. \nAbout the event\nIn this Peer Learning Forum\, we will be hearing about some of these different approaches to understand what will work for different organisations and how you can pick a measurement approach that delivers for you. \nWe will then be breaking out into small discussion groups\, where everyone will have the opportunity to share their own experiences and challenges\, ask questions\, and take learnings from other businesses into their own organisations. \nAbout Business in the Community’s Peer Learning Forums\nBITC’s Peer Learning Forums provide a confidential environment to discuss common issues\, solutions\, and good practice. There will be an emphasis on discussion and sharing experiences.
