Our Peer Learning Forums (PLF) are now open to all members who have advisory in their membership package – hosted by our experts\, there are 20 forums a year\, covering a range of responsible business areas and enabling our members to discuss challenges\, solutions and ideas. \nIt has been designed for anyone interested in promoting fair pay practices\, including Diversity and inclusion practitioners/managers and Heads of\, and HR/People/Talent management practitioners/managers and Heads of. \n\n\nBackground\nUK companies with 250 plus employees will have to report ethnicity and disability pay gaps under Labour plans laid out in the King’s Speech in July 2024. \nIn 2023 BITC surveyed over 200 employers and found that 67% of employers were monitoring data on pay and ethnicity\, yet only 44% published this data. Data is power and without it\, the best workplace decisions cannot be made. \n\n\nAbout the event\nJoin us for an insightful event focused on the critical issue of disability and ethnicity pay gap reporting. This event aims to shed light on the importance of transparency in pay practices and the steps organisations can take to ensure they have the necessary action plans in place to prepare for mandatory reporting. \nAn expert Inclusion Adviser will discuss the current landscape of ethnicity and disability pay gap reporting and its implications for businesses. We will also be joined by Faizza Rumani from Network Rail to discuss the work they have done to gather ethnicity and disability data\, how to analyse this in a meaningful way\, and what actions they have taken to address the pay gap. \nUK companies with 250 plus employees will have to report ethnicity and disability pay gaps under Labour plans laid out in the King’s Speech in July 2024.
