Insights from five climate action events

Explore the actions that businesses can take to accelerate progress towards a net zero carbon, resilient future.

This factsheet explores the actions that businesses can take to accelerate progress towards a net zero carbon, resilient future. The learnings are taken from a series of webinars held over five days to mark the date when the annual UN Climate Change Conference, known as COP26 would have taken place.

In the spirit of COP26, the webinar is focused on the UK Government’s priorities and two additional themes, which included:

  • Energy
  • Transport
  • Finance
  • People
  • Value Chains

Changing expectations

Research has shown the public wants a radical response to the climate crisis, enacted with the same urgency as the response to COVID-19 . Leaders will be held accountable for the actions they take, or do not take, regarding climate action. This will be both externally by the capital markets and increasing environmental regulations, particularly with the announcement of the UK Government’s 10-point-plan for a Green Industrial Revolution and internally by employees.
