Graham Darby is Strategic Head of housing for County Durham housing association, Livin Housing, managing over 8,400 homes.
Graham is a strong business development professional and has over 20 years’ experience in the housing industry. He has held a variety of roles nationally and within the north east delivering housing, maintenance and support services.
He took up his current role in March 2019 covering housing management, regeneration, asset management and property services. Key aspects of Graham’s role are delivery of services to tenants across County Durham and into Teesside. Graham is also a passionate advocate for the positive impacts that housing associations can make and leads Livin’s partnership and place-based approaches to neighbourhood and community regeneration. Delivery of services at grass roots level, leveraging the partnerships that exist between major businesses and community-based organisations. These are important factors in delivering “place based” regeneration of communities and is a key focus for Livin.
Graham holds a postgraduate diploma in Housing Management and is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Housing. He is committed to driving the positive impacts that business organisations can have on individuals and the wider communities.
He is married with two children, is a keen runner and a long-suffering fan of Sunderland AFC.
