Jessica Twemlow is Ricardo’s Head of Circular Economy and has over 18 years of experience directing circular economy and resource efficiency programmes, as well as leading technical policy-related research. 

She has worked with organisations, cities and regions to develop practical strategies for transitioning to a circular economy including work in the UK, Europe, Middle East and Australia. She has led on the development of circular economy strategies including economic and material flow mapping, identifying and prioritising opportunities and developing circular metrics to measure progress.

This work has given Jessica valuable insight into the data requirements, analysis and metrics that underpin circular economy strategies that shift away from traditional policy to full life cycle thinking encompassing the whole supply chain and the environmental impacts. 

Jessica also has significant experience supporting businesses seeking to develop or implement new business models, products and services which embed circular economy principles. Over the last five years, she has supported over 120 businesses with the development of their circular business models, and has worked across a range of organisations from micro-SMEs to multi-national companies covering sectors including construction, electronics, textiles, food and drink, retail, manufacturing and healthcare.
