BITC Scotland announced as supporting partner of sustainable finance conference

Held under the patronage of the Scottish Government, supported by the UK Government and hosted by the Royal Bank of Scotland, The Global Ethical Finance Forum (GEFF) is an initiative of Middle East Global Advisors in strategic partnership with the Islamic Finance Council UK (UKIFC). BITC Scotland will be a supporting partner.

The theme for GEFF 2017 - “Ethical Finance: Merging Profit & Purpose”, is in line with the Forum’s aspiration to serve as a platform of convergence and collaboration across the responsible finance universe, and to forge a vision for a more inclusive and sustainable financial system.

The two-day forum in Edinburgh will take place on 13 and 14 September 2017 and will focus on mainstreaming ethical finance, by promoting dialogue between its three segments encompassing Socially Responsible Investing (SRI), Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG), and Islamic/faith-based finance.

Confirmed key speakers at GEFF 2017 include Keith Brown MSP, Cabinet Secretary for the Economy, Jobs and Fair Work, Scottish Government; Nigel Kershaw, Chairman, The Big Issue Group; Kirsty Britz, Director of Sustainable Banking, Royal Bank of Scotland; Nurlan Kussainov, CEO, Astana International Financial Centre (AIFC) Authority and Peter Webster, Director of International Affairs, Vigeo Eiris & CEO, Eiris Foundation, amongst others.
