BITC Scotland staff enjoy Xmas grub at Scotland's first restaurant set up to help homeless

BITC Scotland staff will be tucking into their festive lunch at Home, a new social enterprise restaurant in Edinburgh.

Home is the brainchild of successful social enterprise entrepreneur Josh Littlejohn, founder of the Social Bite sandwich shop chain which supports homeless people across Scotland.  It's a new restaurant run on a not-for-profit basis with all profits going to charity, and serving good value, quality Scottish/French cuisine.

Josh’s team has brought together some of Scotland’s leading restauranteurs to create a unique dining experience. But, alongside a passion for great food, a social mission underlies the restaurant, with diners encouraged to ‘Pay Forward’ meals for the homeless.

Home also provides training and employment opportunities for members of Social Bite Academy, the charity’s paid course for homeless people. It will also open each Monday afternoon for a special service for the homeless.
