It's time to Collect for Christmas 2016

With the festive season fast approaching, Business in the Community is back to invite local Nottinghamshire businesses and employees to ‘give something back’ at Christmas.

Many businesses are keen to help others at this time of year but are often unsure how best to do this – that’s why Collect for Christmas was born.

This simple but meaningful campaign encourages teams to get together and collect small but much-needed items, which are then distributed to those living within our most deprived communities. By working directly with Business in the Community's specialist services partners at Nottingham City Council, Age UK Notts and the Salvation Army, this campaign directly supports families in our community who are most in need.

Last year’s collection was record-breaking, with the campaign exceeding its target for the number of presents gifted by teams across Nottinghamshire. We'd like to go further and beat even that this year!

One simple and popular way to do this is to ask your business and its employees to use the money they would usually spend on corporate or individual Christmas cards and instead collect items to be sent directly to families who will benefit.
