Natalie Penrose is currently the Head of Legacy at High Speed 2 Limited, and in this role she is responsible for Equality, Diversity and Inclusion, as well as Skills, Education and Employment. This role has a focus on both the inclusivity of the client organisation – HS2 Ltd – as well as ensuring delivery in People Legacy across the extensive HS2 supply chain.
Prior to taking on this Head of Legacy role in early 2022, Natalie was in leadership roles at HS2 Ltd in Community & Stakeholder Engagement, first as Head of Strategy, and latterly as interim Director of Community and Stakeholder Engagement. In both roles Natalie’s priority was ensuring everyone working on HS2 respected the diverse people and places impacted by the construction of the new railway.
Before joining HS2 in 2018 Natalie worked in senior performance, regulation and delivery roles across a wide range of sectors, including the NHS, education, welfare and public sector audit. She has been leading teams for over 25 years, and is passionate about integrity, fairness and equality of opportunity. By joining the Business in the Community (BITC) taskforce Natalie hopes to share her experience and to collaborate with other sectors and businesses on a subject she is passionate about.
