This Seeing is Believing visit will explore how a more strategic approach to responsible business can act as a competitive advantage in the marketplace.
In Britain and beyond, challenging market conditions have taken hold, competition from disruptive business models is playing havoc with traditional ways of doing business. Clearly business as usual is neither economically nor environmentally sustainable.
A research by Pure Strategies show that 46% of companies with sustainable products report increased sales. Other research by BITC and Accenture shows there is £100bn business opportunity from innovations that address social and environmental challenges.
Leading companies are responding in very smart ways, from addressing social and environmental problems, to open and inclusive approaches, allowing the creation of transparency and trust with customers and employees.
The visit will be led by Richard Flint, Chief Executive of Yorkshire Water and Kelda Group and Chair of Business in the Community’s Yorkshire & Humber Advisory Board.
Whilst your organisation will be making its own unique social and environmental contributions, there is more that we can all do when we collaborate and share best practice. This visit will provide an opportunity for us to scale up our actions and lead on responsible business so that we have a competitive advantage in the marketplace.
