The Responsible Small Business of the Year

This is a chance to be recognised for the great work you and your employees do in your communities, in your schools and within your supply chain.

We’re looking for smaller businesses which have embedded responsible business practices throughout their organisation and are making a positive difference to the challenges facing the North West.

Am I Eligible?

This award is open to companies trading with no parent company, based in the North West, meeting employing up to 1,500 employees and with a turnover of less than £250 million. Members and non-members of Business in the Community can enter as well as financially sustainable social enterprises.

The Lex Autolease Employee Volunteer of the Year

We are looking for nominations for individuals who have made an outstanding contribution to their community through employee volunteering, irrespective of the issue.

Am I Eligible?

The volunteer must have been supported and given volunteering leave by their employer and the activities they have undertaken must have made an impact to communities in the North West.  The activity must have taken place during 2015 and you should be able to demonstrate that as a result of the individual’s volunteering, they have developed their own skills and experience to the benefit of their employer.

Community Champion

We are looking for nominations from business for an individual from the community sector who has excelled in their engagement and partnership with the business sector for the benefit of society.

Am I eligible?

The person you wish to nominate should:

  • Work within the community or voluntary sector, or from an education organisation

  • Have brought benefit specifically to business and to the wider society through their work.

Collaborative Action

We are looking for nominations which recognise business collaborations between two or more private sector businesses that are addressing key social or environmental issues in their community/region.

Am I eligible?

This award is open to any private sector business in the South West. Your collaboration must be between at least two or more businesses/ social enterprises and the activity must have taken place during 2015/16.
