ConnectFirst

An experiential learning opportunity for Future Talent like no other...

ConnectFirst is an exciting new 3-6 month secondment opportunity, designed to help your business attract, retain and develop talent whilst positively impacting the community. We are piloting it from May 2017 - March 2018. There's still time for your business to get involved!

How does it work?

ConnectFirst secondees will work in disadvantaged communities across the country. They will create and maintain sustainable partnerships between business, voluntary and community sectors at local level.

The programme challenges young leaders to immerse themselves in the issues faced by society, and to think creatively and strategically about how to help business and local communities tackle those issues.

Why does it work?

The model is built on our long-standing Business Connector  programme, which for five years has facilitated more than 240 senior secondments into communities of greatest need in partnership with 47 of Britain's most progressive organisations.

We have an outstanding support structure and will provide all of the training and support required by your future leaders. After a ConnectFirst secondment, participants will be equipped with essential skills that your business needs to succeed.

"I never thought I could deal with uncertainty and risk in the way I can now... that has come from being a Business Connector; no doubt. I feel like I can be a leader for the first time."
Jemma Garland - Change Manager, MOD
