Stages of seconding a Business Connector

  • Meeting with Nishi Mayor, Head of Recruitment, to confirm interest in the programme and commitment to seconding a Connector

  • Identify strategic location where there is a business case for having a Connector on the ground.

  • Identify talent pool for which the secondment will be of most value - e.g. store managers, heads of department.

  • Agree secondment terms, budget implications and recruitment process.

  • Advertise internally for applications.

  • Review applications and interview candidates, with input from BITC as appropriate.

  • Agree start date with line manager, candidate and BITC, implement back-filling arrangements, complete secondment agreement

  • Business Connector attends three day induction training course and is introduced to the Co-ordinator for their location before beginning the role.
