How do we set up a national ECE programme?

Use this section to plan and implement the first steps of a national employee community engagement (ECE) programme. You’ll need plenty of time to plan a scheme that fulfils both your community and your business needs.

Identify what success looks like for you

  • Do you have a target number of employees to get involved initially? Are there plans to increase volume year on year?

  • How do you want to contribute to the community in which your organisation operates?

  • What will you bring to the partnership and what do you expect of the community group you’ll partner with?

  • In the longer term will you use employee community engagement as a staff development tool? Is there already an existing relationship with HR?

  • Does your organisation provide existing channels in which to communicate the programme effectively?

  • Do you know what you want to measure and how?
