The Marketplace Model is a tool for matching organisations and voluntary groups.
It’s a friendly, lively event where community groups and businesses can forge links that lead to future partnerships.
The process originated in the Netherlands in 2004 and was introduced to Europe at Eurofestation in the same year. It has since been implemented frequently and successfully across the continent.
For instance, during the period May 2005 – May 2006, events were organised in 20 cities throughout the Netherlands. The result was over 1,600 successful matches.
