Havant - Lounging and Picketing - 10 - 15 Volunteers

Physical team challenge: Help rejuventate a supported housing unit which provides accommodation for young people aged 16 - 25.

This supported housing unit located in Leigh Park provides accommodation for young people aged 16 – 25 who would otherwise be homeless. The unit has previously been uncared for, but the new centre manager has exciting plans to help rejuvenate the site and would welcome support from local businesses.

A lounge and kitchen area is in urgent need of redecoration. At present the room is a mismatch of colours and furniture and would benefit from a mini-makeover. The kitchen area, whilst relatively modern is tired-looking and would benefit from a revamp. Creative minds in re-varnishing cupboard doors etc would be welcomed!

The area overlooks a garden used by service users. Part of the area has been picket fenced off and could potentially become a play area for young children or sensory garden. The centre's manager would like to see additional picket fencing erected around the garden to ensure a safe environment is provided. Other general improvements to the grounds would be welcomed. Creative minds are a must!
