Inspiring businesses to improve society through purpose-driven brands.

The Marketplace agenda looks at how a company's products, services and marketing can help create a better world - and by doing so, forge a deeper connection between business and customer leading to lasting commercial success.

BITC's Marketplace work pushes for customer quality of life and the wellbeing of society at large to be key forces guiding the marketplace decisions of companies.  We want to inspire businesses to improve society through purpose-driven brands.

To deliver this, we focus on two areas:

Our Purpose Toolkit explains the business case for being a purpose-driven brand, and outlines the fundamentals of what a relevant purpose looks like - an Executive Summary is also available.  Through blogs and bi-monthly Marketplace Insights we inform businesses of the latest news and opinion on relevant topics like sustainable innovation and building customer trust.  A series of short Purpose Driven case studies give examples of how companies are doing good through products or marketing.

Successful brands that do good are built by action rather than words.

Our team of Corporate Advisers work with BITC member companies using the Purpose Toolkit’s Purpose Checklist to help them assess their strengths and areas of opportunity. Additionally, our Advisory Services can further help drive change inside businesses and brands. Contact us today to discuss how they can help you.

We support companies through our articles, events and resources, as well as providing tailored 1:1 support.
