VIDEO: Google helps to search for BAME talent

In 2013, Adrian Joseph, Head of Client Services EMEA, Google led a Prince’s Seeing is Believing visit on the issue of BAME (Black, Asian, Minority Ethnic) youth unemployment. Stemming out of this visit, BITC’s "Mentoring circles for young BAME job seekers", pilot was launched and supported by 10 businesses.

Out of 90 BAME participants on the pilot scheme, 70 have gone on to full-time employment, and 93% of mentees stated they learnt new skills which they are now using when applying for jobs. £132,000 funding has also been secured for various Moving on Up projects, which will be rolled out between 2015-2017.
