The Water Taskforce

The Water Taskforce was established following a Seeing is Believing visit focused on water led by United Utilities in 2012. It is the first in a series of collaborations that aim to explore the issues and opportunities around providing high quality, affordable, sustainable supplies of life’s essentials – water, energy, food and connectivity.

Steve Mogford, CEO, United Utililties

The Water Taskforce is chaired by Steve Mogford, CEO of United Utilities and brings together the water industry, interested businesses and key stakeholders including Anglian Water, the Carbon Trust, Costain, United Utilities, Defra, Dŵr Cymru, EDF Energy, the Environment Agency, Yorkshire Water, Marshalls, the Met Office, MWH, Nestlé, Northumbrian Water, Sainsbury’s and Thames Water.

The Taskforce has a focus on practical action, with members leading on individual work streams where they are of particular relevance to their organisation.
