Business in the Community’s (BITC) Healthy High Streets programme supported 100 high streets across England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland between 2014-2017.
Our aim was to help revitalise them and engage large businesses in their local communities. We wanted to enable and encourage businesses ‘to step outside their front door’ and work collaboratively with other local
stakeholders to support community cohesion and high street regeneration.
The Pride of Place Partnership
This report sets out some of the learning from this programme. It also references the beginnings of the Pride of Place partnership in Blackpool. This has now become a fully-fledged programme of regeneration activity, complete with an agenda for action.
