BITC’s Ban the Box campaign encourages employers to remove the tick box asking about criminal convictions from their first application form.

This factsheet provides tangible examples for other employers to use to inform their own fairer HR policies.

BITC’s Ban the Box Campaign was launched in October, since then it has encouraged the likes of Alliance Boots and Freshfields to remove the tick box from their application forms and ask about criminal conviction at a later stage in the hiring process.
