On the 4 February 2016, Business in the Community hosted its first ever Employment Summit. The event brought together 150 business leaders to explore the various ways businesses can inspire, hire and grow talent in today’s labour market.

A series of breakout sessions focused on the key social issues affecting businesses from an employment perspective, and the innovative solutions being used to tackle them. Business in the Community members can download a summary of this breakout session, which outlines the key learnings and recommendations.

Government policies and programmes affect the incentives for people to take jobs or increase hours, as well as the support available for people to move into work. The changing landscape has implications for employers.
