With 400 hotels in 30 countries, NH Hotel Group has a significant footprint in the hospitality sector.
In 2017, the company drew up its Corporate Responsibility Strategic Plan, a wide-ranging, three-year plan to help ensure it commits to its vision of creating shared value at an economic, social and environmental level.
“We strive to offer unique experiences to clients and employees, to be active in the communities where we are present and to care for the environment– and this enables us to transmit the ethical and responsible business principles that guide the way we work,” says CEO Ramon Aragonés.
The company’s Hotels with Heart initiative offers free rooms to families in need through collaborations with local NGOs, and its employability programme targets youths at risk of social exclusion.
Its environmental projects include Green Savings, focused on the reduction of resources, and the Green Hotel Project, designed to encourage sustainable actions within the hotels themselves, for example promoting sustainable travel or increasing the number of environmental certifications.
