Ready for Work in the South West
Ready for Work is a national programme that engages business to support disadvantaged groups, particularly people who have experienced homelessness, into employment.
The programme has been running for more than 10 years in Bristol, seeing hundreds of clients successfully through the programme.
In the last year alone 32 clients started the programme. Despite the difficult economic conditions in Bristol during this period, 14 gained employment at the end of the programme and 10 people have gone on to positive outcomes, including training or volunteering.
The success of the programme is in part due to the commitment of the businesses in Bristol who host training, provide job coaches, run workshops, provide training or work placements.
