Tony joined Mercer in 2014 and is the UK Managing Director of Mercer Marsh Benefits. He is a partner and a member of the UK Market Leadership Team and Europe Pacific Mercer Marsh Benefits Leadership Team.
In his role, Tony drives the growth of the Mercer Marsh Benefits Employee Health & Benefits business in the UK, which is focused on helping employers to advance the health and performance of their most vital asset — their people — by finding innovative approaches to managing health risks and wellbeing. He is responsible for all areas of the business, including financial performance, business development activity, and people management.
Prior to joining Mercer in 2014, he spent six years with health care and insurance company Bupa, firstly as the sales director for Australia and then as the UK sales director for the Health Funding business. Tony joined Bupa following the merger with MBF (an Australian health insurer) in 2008. He spent five years with MBF, starting as a national sales manager in 2003. Prior to that role, he enjoyed success with AMP, an Australian wealth management and financial planning group, in senior roles in pensions and employee benefits consulting.
Tony holds an MBA from the Australian Graduate School of Management, is a fellow of the Association of Superannuation Funds of Australia, a member of the Institute of Directors (UK), a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, and an associate member of the Australian and New Zealand Institute of Insurance and Finance.
