Give & Gain Day in Wales 2017

Give & Gain Day 2017

Give & Gain Day is the annual celebration of power and potential of employee volunteering and the positive impact it can have in communities, schools and workplaces across Wales. Through volunteering, companies and employees can develop stronger, longer-lasting community relationships, build their own skills and support local community / charity groups in the work they are doing every day.

Coordinated in Wales by BITC Cymru, Give & Gain Day 2017 is an amazing opportunity for companies and employees from all sectors to come together and have a positive impact, together and at scale.

This year in Wales, Give & Gain Day will take place on Friday 12 May, with other volunteering activity taking place throughout the week (8 - 12 May 2017). There is a small charge to taking part in Give & Gain Day in Wales this year. The cost per volunteer is £45 + VAT and most volunteering projects require a minimum of 10 people to take part. You can find more information about each project on the booking page (link above).

In Wales, Give & Gain Day 2017 is sponsored by the the Welsh Government and Wales & West Utilities.

"I am very pleased that the Welsh Government is again supporting Give & Gain Day which is a great initiative and provides an extensive range of volunteering opportunities for businesses and employees to get involved and support their local communities. It provides a very rewarding and valuable experience for individuals whose involvement makes a real contribution and does really make a difference." - Ken Skates AM, Cabinet Secretary for Economy & Infrastructure, Welsh Government

"At Wales & West Utilities our skilled and dedicated colleagues do their very best to keep the communities we serve across Wales and the South West of England safe and warm. Employee volunteering allows us to engage and connect with the communities we serve and means local groups and organisations can take advantage of the skills that our staff have - from raking gardens to running workshops and from painting walls to refurbishing community centres! Give & Gain Day 2017 is a great opportunity to celebrate the benefits businesses can bring to communities through volunteering and we are proud to be involved." - Mark Oliver, Director of Business Services, Wales & West Utilities
