At Business in the Community, we know that employee volunteering is a foundation stone of a responsible business strategy. It enables businesses to understand and connect with their communities. They share their time, skills and expertise to address key social challenges, in return developing knowledge and insights of the perceptions and values of communities amongst employees. We know that long-term, mutually beneficial relationships are the best way to achieve this.
Give & Gain celebrates the power of these relationships, and the skills, insights and mutual understanding shared as a result.
It showcases the employee volunteering delivered by BITC, our partners, and our members throughout the year, and supports businesses in increasing their engagement and impact.
Give & Gain is more than just a day. We want to reflect the fact that businesses play a powerful role in their communities at every time of the year.
So in 2017, Give and Gain will celebrate the on-going support provided by businesses through employee volunteers across the year, with a showcase of good employee volunteering on 28 April as part of Responsible Business Week.
