
Professor Alex Hope is Pro Vice-Chancellor for the Faculty of Business and Technology at the University of Sunderland and Professor of Sustainable and Responsible Business. He provides strategic leadership for the faculty, driving excellence in business and technology education while advancing the University’s sustainability and employer engagement agendas. Professor Hope continues to teach, research, and consult in responsible business, organisational sustainability, corporate social responsibility (CSR), and energy policy. He serves on the global advisory board of the United Nations Principles for Responsible Management Education (UN PRME) initiative, Co-Chairs its Climate Change and Environment Working Group, and is Vice-Chair of the AACSB Responsible Management Education Affinity Group, advancing sustainability in management education worldwide. Professor Hope’s work bridges academia and practice, fostering innovative partnerships that address global sustainability challenges. His leadership and scholarship have established him as a recognised authority in business ethics, sustainable development, and the integration of responsible management principles into higher education.
