Andy Waters
Group Credit Manager, Archant
About Andy Waters
Throughout his career in finance, he has built a strong reputation for customerāfocused leadership, culminating in 10 years as Group Credit Manager at Archant. Although credit control can be challengingāoften involving difficult conversations and occasional court proceedingsāhe has always led with a clear principle: give people the benefit of the doubt, listen first, and help wherever possible. That approach contributed to record DSO (Days Sales Outstanding) results for both the business and the wider industry, and it also allowed him to work closely with commercial teams to achieve positive outcomes for customers and the company. During this time, he also projectāmanaged a groupāwide initiative to improve customer support across the organisation.
Following Archantās acquisition by Newsquest, he was tasked with improving the profitability of teams and products across social media campaigns, graphic design and videoāwork that introduced him to the studio and creative world. Despite the common belief that finance and creativity donāt mix, he has enjoyed combining commercial rigour with a passion for design and problemāsolving. Today, he works alongside talented colleagues, supporting sales teams and products to grow, and remains eager to embrace changeāespecially as AI reshapes how we work.
