About Dan Salanson

Dan Salanson is Regional Director of Thames Valley and the Cotswolds for NatWest, leading teams of front-line bankers to deliver for the customers and communities they serve.

Previously Dan was a founding member of the Tyl by NatWest Fintech Exec. Joining in 2018 he worked alongside external partners to build an acquirer and wider payments business. Tyl evolved from a concept, into an exciting project and then a fast-scaling business. Along the way Dan was responsible for most aspects of the business and its strategy – product, pricing, customer experience, in-life as well as marketing and sales, ultimately evolving into the role of Chief Commercial Officer.

Prior to this, Dan has held a variety of senior roles in financial services in the UK and abroad in a career spanning over 25 years, most recently as head of the payments sales teams in NatWest. Ā

Outside of work Dan is a proud dad of three who is part entrepreneur, part football coach. In partnership with his wife, Dan has founded a number of SME businesses, experiencing first hand the pressures and needs of the SMEs that NatWest serves.

Dan has served on Business in the Community’s South East Leadership Board since September 2023.
