About Dr Foteini Papadopoulou


Dr Foteini Papadopoulou is a Senior Enterprise Fellow at Southampton Business School, University of Southampton.

She leads initiatives that strengthen the link between academia and industry, with a focus on knowledge exchange, revenue generation, and enhancing the School’s impact at local, national, and international levels.

Since joining the University in 2024, Foteini has taken on key strategic roles, including leading the School’s Small Business Charter re-accreditation and representing Southampton Business School on the Business in the Community (BITC) Leadership Board. She also leads innovative projects, including the development of AcademiaPod, a platform using artificial intelligence to democratise access to academic knowledge.

Foteini holds a PhD in Management with a specialisation in entrepreneurship in disadvantaged contexts. Her professional journey spans marketing, consulting, and policy. She previously worked as a Senior Analyst at the Cabinet Office’s Race Disparity Unit and as a Senior Research Assistant for the Women Leaders South West programme.

Foteini joined BITC’s South East Leadership Board to give back to her community and contribute to a shared vision of inclusive, responsible business. She is passionate about collaboration as a driver for change and believes academia has a powerful role to play in shaping a more equitable and sustainable future.

Outside of work, she enjoys travelling, cooking, and spending time with her family.

Foteini has served on Business in the Community’s South East Leadership Board since September 2024.
