Statement from BITC on the new First Minister of Scotland

Commenting on the election of Humza Yousaf as Scotland’s First Minister, Louisa Macdonell, Scotland Director at Business in the Community (BITC), said:

“Firstly, I would like to congratulate Humza Yousaf on his appointment as the new First Minister of Scotland. There is much work to do to address the impact of the cost-of-living crisis which is exacerbating the inequalities in our society. Responsible businesses across Scotland are already working to address the cost-of-living crisis using our action plan, and we urge the new First Minister and his Government to work with those businesses to move quickly to tackle the big social and environmental challenges.”
