Established in 2024, York Pride of Place is a business-led cross-sector partnership focused on connecting education, skills, employers, health services, and communities to unlock opportunity, strengthen local partnerships, and improve outcomes for children and young people. The Manifesto sets out how collective action can help ensure York remains a city where heritage and innovation work together to create a prosperous future for all.

About BITC’s Pride of Place programme
The BITC Pride of Place programme is a UK-wide initiative that aims to transform communities by fostering deep, long-term collaboration between businesses, public authorities, elected leaders, and community organisations. BITC works in specific geographic areas, bringing together local councils, businesses, and voluntary organisations to co-create solutions tailored to local needs. BITC’s Pride of Place programme currently works in 18 locations across the UK.
