Sandra is the HR Director for Business in the Community (BITC) and has vast experience at a strategic level. Having worked in financial services for several years, Sandra chose to change to the not-for-profit sector in 2021. Throughout her career, she has guided organisations through periods of change and cultural evolution. Sandra has successfully led end‑to‑end change programmes and implemented HR operating models. Her approach balances commercial acumen with a strong commitment to employee experience, engagement, and wellbeing. She is known for her collaborative style, influencing skills, and ability to build trust with stakeholders at every level. With a focus on culture as a driver of organisational success, Sandra is passionate about cultivating environments where individuals feel valued, supported, and able to perform at their best. Sandra has a strong passion for football at every level and is an avid supporter of Manchester United. She also enjoys volunteering at a local club on a regular basis.

The board is responsible for setting BITC’s long-term vision, overseeing performance, and ensuring accountability in delivering its mission. Working closely with our board of directors, the executive team champions responsible business practices, drives collaboration across sectors, and supports initiatives that promote inclusive growth, environmental sustainability, and positive social impact throughout the UK.
