Simone Devinett has worked in the field of Youth and Community Work for over 20 years, with roles ranging from supported housing for young people, alternative education for teenage mothers, development of youth services for a charitable organisation and as an Associate Tutor at Cardiff Metropolitan University; lecturing on the Youth & Community Work – BA (Hons) Degree.

She has worked with Beacon Cymru Group (formally RHA Wales) since 2011, being Head Of Communities since 2019. Her role has included responsibility for resident engagement, tenancy support projects, establishing community spaces and building community partnerships, as well as managing multiple grant funded projects focussed on employment support, wellbeing and climate action. 

Simone is an expert in the field of Community Development work and used this approach in delivering RHA’s Social Value and Community Benefits commitments, including support of the Foundation Economy and chairing Tonypandy’s Chamber Of Trade. She is passionate about social justice, using her skills to bring people together in achieving positive change.
