Community Climate Fund: One Year On – Impact Report 2024/25

This Business in the Community Impact report celebrates the achievements of the Community Climate Fund (CCF) over the past year.

Community Climate Fund: One Year On – Impact Report 2024/25

The Community Climate Fund (CCF), launched by Business in the Community (BITC) in 2024, tackles the intersecting crises of climate change and the cost-of-living by empowering communities with funding, resources, and business support – a practical, place-based approach to accelerating a just transition, where people and nature thrive together.

Over the last 12 months, CCF has engaged with over 400 community organisations, supporting 10 pilot projects in Tees Valley, Bradford, Coventry, and Norwich. These initiatives include urban green spaces, food security programmes, renewable energy solutions, and social supermarkets.

Looking ahead, BITC aims to expand its Just Transition Hubs, deliver £100 million in value and scale successful climate action models across the UK.

This report looks at what’s been achieved over the past year, highlighting key projects and their impact.

BITC’s Community Climate Fund

Our Community Climate Fund will help businesses and communities come together to tackle both the climate and cost-of-living crisis at the same time. While the issues may seem very different, many of the solutions to the climate crisis such as retrofitting buildings, community food growing and/or energy schemes, will also address the cost-of-living crisis.
