Background

Business in the Community set up the Aberdeen Responsible Business Network in 2019, it was born out of a need for professionals who were tasked with driving Responsible Business activity across their businesses, often off the side of their desks, to have a better connection to individuals who were trying to achieve the same impact.

About the event – Achieving Community Regeneration

Together we’ll explore how businesses of all sizes can meaningfully contribute to community regeneration.

Responsible business strategies which consider a community’s needs alongside those of their business have a greater opportunity to empower that community to regenerate and ultimately thrive in parallel to achieving their business outcomes.

Join us to:

  • Connect with your Aberdeen business peers, to share practices and explore ways to progress your organisations approach to community regeneration.
  • Gain insights from Shell UK on the regeneration of Tullos, and the Energy Transition Skills Hub.
  • Appreciate Aberdeen City priorities based on Community Planning Aberdeen’s public engagement, with a focus on employability.
  • Share your experience, on the challenges and opportunities discussed, highlighting small and practical ways you could collaborate and contribute to community regeneration.
