Tackling the energy bills problem for community organisations

Thu, 13 November @ 10:30 – 14:00

This is an in-person event
Audience
Community leaders, anyone who runs a community organisation with premises in Bradford.
Background
Business in the Community is a responsible business charity, bringing together businesses and communities to create lasting positive impact for people in places. Our environment work seeks to build strong connections by solving the challenges of today and create resilience by future proofing our communities, leaders, and systems. This event is part of one strand of this work, becoming a building block for community resilience in Bradford and beyond.
About the event
This event will explore the different ways for community organisations to reduce their energy bills. We will look at what can be done to a building to make it cheaper to run, how to engage staff and visitors to keep waste energy to a minimum, how to understand your energy consumption, and what funding to look out for to help. The event will be interactive, bringing together community leaders and industry experts to discuss the challenges you face. By the end of the event you will have a clearer picture of what can be done to bring your running costs down. There will be time for lunch and networking so you can build new connections that will support you along the way.
Refreshments
The event will include a networking lunch.
